Full Itinerary
Community farm work starts January 2009. We have rented 4 Rai (equivalent to 8 football pitches) 15kms outside of Surin Town. Our plan is to provide free fruit, vegetables and fish to the most in need people in the community.
One of our Surin team, Yo, studied at Surin’s agricultural university and is busy putting together the plans for our organic farm. There is so much work to do. In December we still start to prepare the land, using peanuts plants to naturally fertilise the soil and we will dig the fish ponds. January planting will begin.
Along with the farm work there will be construction work. The land needs a toilet/shower block, roofed area and pathway system. This is a big undertaking and we need lots of volunteers to make this project a success.
The produce from our farm will help many people with basic nutritional needs. We want to hear from individuals and groups as soon as possible. If you are active, don’t mind getting your hands dirty and want to help launch a new project please call or enquire today.
