Full Itinerary
After departing from your accommodation, or central Queenstown, this small personalised tour offers a relaxed and informative visit to the Gibbston Valley Winery. Here you will tour the wine caves and enjoy wine tasting with a full commentary. Now fully informed, settle in to the courtyard vineyard atmosphere with a lunch from their special menu.
Finish dining with an on-site tour of the adjoining cheese factory tasting their wares. The tour then continues on to a second winery for another wine presentation and tasting. (From April to September, the winter timetable includes two extra wineries).
Now suitably relaxed it’s time for some real fresh air. A brief transfer from the winery will deliver you to Kawarau Jet. Take an exciting Jet boat ride into the channels of two of New Zealand’s most scenic rivers.
Across the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu and through the tranquil beauty of the willow lined Kawarau River, the Jet boat then speeds in to the shallow, fast moving braids of the Shotover River. The 43km, hour long adventure highlights the magnificent diversity of Queenstown’s waterways.
