This unique safari offers a taste of the colonial lifestyle of an ex-settler family on the shores of Lake Naivasha and 3 fabulous nights at Kenya's leading safari camp built over 30 years ago in an area of the Masai Mara once reserved exclusively for Kenya's colonial Governors. The camp is close to the areas where BBC's 'Big Cat Diaries' is filmed.

Day 1 Nairobi
Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, met and assisted by our representative. Transfer to Norfolk, Nairobi's most illustrious hotel built during the colonial period. Overnight at Fairmont Norfolk Hotel ( BB )

Day 2 Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, visit the giraffe centre for endangered wildlife, before continuing onto Loldia House. Beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha, this former settler house, much of it in its original state, evokes the gracious lifestyle of a settler family. Enjoy outdoor lunches and sundowners as hippos graze on the lawns, fine dining, guided walks, riding, boat rides and the haunting cries of fish eagles. Meals and overnight at Loldia House (LDBB)

Day 3 Lake Naivasha
Today take a boat ride to the picturesque Crescent Island for a game walk and a fabulous picnic. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 Masai Mara National Game Reserve
After an early breakfast, return to Nairobi and fly to Governors' Camp for 3 nights of breathtaking game viewing in open-sided Landrovers. An optional balloon safari is recomended. Met on arrival in Mara and transferred you your lodge. Afternoon shared game drives. Meals and overnight at Governors’ Camp (LDBB)

Day 5 Masai Mara National Game Reserve
Whole day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon shared game drives. Meals and overnight at Governors' Camp ( LDBB)

Day 6 Masai Mara National Game Reserve
Whole day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon shared game drives. Meals and overnight at Governors' Camp ( LDBB)

Day 7 Departure
After the final game drive and breakfast, take a mid-morning flight to Nairobi. You may book an optional dayroom before your flight back home or extend your stay with a beach holiday.
